🗓️ Absence planner¶
The absence planner lets you block out date ranges when you can't play — holidays, business travel, injuries. Opponents are automatically warned when they try to schedule a match against you during those dates.
How to add an absence¶
- Go to Settings → Personal Absences.
- Enter a start date and end date (inclusive).
- Pick a status:
- Out ❌ — definitely not available
- Maybe ❓ — tentative, depends on other commitments
- Available ✅ — explicit opt-in (rarely needed)
- Optionally add a short note ("Family holiday", "Work trip").
- Click Add absence.
What opponents see¶
When a 1v1 fixture is being scheduled, both players' absence calendars are checked. If either player has an absence that overlaps the proposed date:
- A warning banner appears on the scheduling dialog.
- The opponent sees the status (out / maybe) and the note, if any.
- They can still schedule — absences are advisory, not a hard block.
Team fixtures¶
For team matches (2v2, 3v3, 4v4) individual absences don't block scheduling because the captain chooses the line-up. They still appear on your personal calendar so your captain knows you're unavailable.
Managing absences¶
Past absences are hidden automatically. You can edit or delete any upcoming absence from the same settings page.
