Clubs

A club is the container for everything you run on ThrowSense. Leagues, series and tournaments all live inside a club. Members join the club; admins manage it.

Create a club

  1. Go to Clubs in the top navigation.
  2. Click Create club.
  3. Fill in the form:
FieldWhat it means
NameThe public display name. Appears in headers and the leaderboard.
SlugThe URL-friendly identifier. Used in /c/<slug>/… links.
DescriptionShown on the club's public page. Markdown supported.
VisibilityPublic (anyone can find & request) or Private (invite only).
LocationOptional — helps regional discovery.
LanguageDefault language for club notifications.

You become the club's owner automatically. Ownership can be transferred later from the club admin screen.

Invite members

From Club admin → Members you can:

  • Send an invitation — enter an email or ThrowSense username; they get a notification/email link.
  • Approve join requests — pending requests appear at the top of the members list when a club is set to public.
  • Remove members — optional reason text is shown in their notification.

Club visibility modes

ModeEffect
PublicListed in the public directory. Anyone can request to join.
PrivateHidden from directory. Invite-only.

The Platform admin can browse any club — public or private — without joining it.

Subscription tier

Every club has a tier. All functional features are free on every tier — you only pay for scale (members, leagues, series, parallel tournaments); Elite additionally unlocks custom branding:

  • League Standard — free. 1 league, up to 12 members, 1 ranking series, 1 tournament in any rolling 30-day window.
  • League Team — €5.99/month (€59/year). 2 leagues, up to 24 members, 2 series, 3 tournaments.
  • League Club — €15.99/month (€149/year). 4 leagues, up to 32 members, 4 series, 4 tournaments.
  • League Elite — €29.99/month (€279/year). Unlimited everything, plus custom organization branding (primary + secondary colour, optional web font) and the global leaderboard spotlight.

Upgrade from Club admin → Billing.

Founding clubs

Clubs created during the early launch window are flagged as founding clubs.

  • A gold founding badge appears on the club home page.
  • Founding clubs keep their price lock — the tier price they signed up at stays fixed, even if list prices rise later.
  • The cut-off date is set by the platform admin; clubs created after it are regular clubs. Nothing needs to be done to claim it — the flag is applied automatically when the club is created before the cut-off.

Worked example: creating Berlin Darts Club

Goal: a public club that runs one ongoing league and a yearly championship series, with ~25 members.

  1. Top nav → ClubsCreate club.
  2. Fill in:
    • Name: Berlin Darts Club
    • Description: Public Berlin darts club — open to all skill levels.
    • Visibility: Public
    • Language: English
  3. Click Create. You're now the owner and land on the club home page.
  4. Open Club admin → Settings and turn Requires join approval on (so you vet newcomers before they show up in leagues).
  5. Club admin → Billing → activate League Club (you're planning ~25 members, above the 24-member League Team cap).
  6. Club admin → Members → Invite — paste a list of usernames or email addresses; each gets a notification/email link.
  7. You're ready — jump to the Leagues worked example to run your first season.

If you ever need Elite-only branding and the leaderboard spotlight, contact us from Billing; a platform admin can flip the spotlight flag on the club record.

A logo is available on every tier (Standard, Pro and Elite). It appears next to your club name on the public club page, in your own admin view, and — for featured Elite clubs — in the Featured Organizations strip on the global leaderboard.

How to upload:

  1. Club admin → Settings.
  2. Scroll to the Organization logo card.
  3. Click Choose file and pick an image.
  4. Click Upload logo.

Accepted formats: JPG, PNG, WebP, SVG. Maximum size: 2 MB. Square images render best (they're shown in a 96 × 96 frame in admin and scaled on public pages). Click Remove logo to clear it again.

Only club owners and admins can change the logo.

Delete a club

Only the club owner can delete a club. Deletion:

  • Removes all club members, leagues, series and tournaments in that club.
  • Does not delete player accounts.
  • Removes the club's fixtures & results from the global leaderboard.

This action is irreversible — confirm twice.
