Organizations
Roles & permissions¶
ThrowSense uses scoped roles — a role only applies within the club (or league) where it was granted.
Role hierarchy¶
| Role | Scope | Can do |
|---|---|---|
| Platform admin | Global | Everything. Access to every club, all leagues, all tournaments. |
| Club owner | One club | Everything inside the club, including deleting the club. |
| Club admin | One club | Manage members, launch leagues/series/tournaments, configure tiers. |
| Club moderator | One club | Approve join requests, moderate chat/reports — no billing/deletion. |
| League moderator | One league | Adjust one specific league's fixtures, scores and status. |
| Team captain | One team | Submit lineups, accept/propose reschedules, dispute results. |
| Member | One club | See club content, join competitions they qualify for. |
Who can edit what?¶
| Action | Platform admin | Club admin | League moderator | Captain |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Create/edit/delete club | ✅ | ✅ (own) | ❌ | ❌ |
| Launch league/series/tournament | ✅ | ✅ | ❌ | ❌ |
| Moderate one specific league | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ | ❌ |
| Edit fixture scores & dates | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ | ❌ |
| Submit team lineup | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ |
| Approve join requests | ✅ | ✅ | ❌ | ❌ |
Appointing moderators¶
- Club admin/moderator — Club admin → Members → Actions → Promote.
- League moderator — League admin → Moderators → Add player. Choose the specific league; the permission does not carry across to other leagues.
Switching clubs¶
If you belong to multiple clubs, use the club switcher (top-right of the Clubs page). Your session is scoped to one club at a time — notifications and admin screens reflect the currently active club.
Platform admins see a “Browse as admin” button on every club page so they can step inside a club without being a member.
