🏆 Cup competitions¶
Cups are single-elimination knockout competitions that sit alongside a league season. They give players a quick high-stakes format while a regular round-robin season is still running.
Creating a cup¶
League admins launch cups from League → Admin → Cups. When you create a cup you pick:
| Setting | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Scope | League-wide, season-wide, or scoped to a single division. |
| Name | Shown in brackets and notifications. |
| Seeding | Manual order, or automatic from current standings. |
Scope explained¶
- League-wide — open to every team in the league, regardless of which season or division they play in. Best for off-season or cross- division cups (e.g. "Winter Cup").
- Season-wide — restricted to teams in the currently active season. Runs in parallel with the league calendar.
- Division-wide — only teams in one division. Great for a quick mid-season knockout without mixing tiers.
Running matches¶
Once seeded, the bracket is generated automatically. Each round is shown on the Cups tab of the league page. Fixtures behave like normal league fixtures: scoring, MVP vote, chat — all available.
Advancement¶
The winner of each tie advances to the next round automatically once the fixture is marked complete. Tied matches use the league's tie-breaker rules (most legs won, head-to-head, then sudden death).
